History It began with the life of a family that was faced with major historical events. In fact when Arabs were driven out of Spain in 1936, the Guessous family left from Melia to Fes. In 1963, after the grand father passed away, the family moved to Casablanca and the house was to be sold. One of the grand children of the owners, Abdelhamid and his wife, Nadia, decided to recover this beautiful house and managed doing so in 2000. Then a long and minute renovation operation started. The young owners decided to include varied styles from all over the country in the new face of the house. Walls are coated in the Marrakech artisans’ style of Tadellakt. The glazed tiles, Zelliges, underline the entrance arches and add to the beauty and refinement of the courtyard and its fountain. They also enhance the ornate suites around the patio
